A Message from the Staff

Welcome to Highlands Oncology Group, PA. Being diagnosed with cancer can be overwhelming. We want to do everything we can to help you through this process. Our staff is committed to providing you with quality cancer care as though you were a member of our own family.

The information provided in this guide is to help you through the treatment process whether it is chemotherapy, radiation therapy or a combination of both. Please do not feel that you have to read this from cover to cover, instead use this resource to help you better understand your treatment and other aspects of your care.

At this time, we would like to remind you to always stop at the receptionist’s desk when you arrive, following a doctor’s visit, and again before you leave. The receptionists will make all your follow-up appointments and will also direct you throughout the clinic if you have multiple visits scheduled in one day such as lab, imaging, a doctor visit, and/or treatment. If you follow this suggestion, it will help you to avoid missed appointments and any sort of treatment delays.
We have attempted to identify and answer many of your questions; however you may have others during your time with us. We suggest that you keep a list of questions and at each appointment ask your doctor, nurse, radiation therapist, or social worker. We are happy to help in any way that we can.
